Test rode Lisa's new bike today. D**n, what a difference, I'd almost forgotten what top end was like. :-) Without getting into enough specifics to ruin her fun, other than the windshield, she got a good ride. I wonder if all Memphis Shades slims are high distortion or just that one? The only things I could find really wrong with it is the front end spring rate (too stiff), and a wimpy front brake (probably needs new pads, can't figure out how to check them, it is a covered caliper and we don't have any manuals for it yet).

Head to head comparisons: mine wins mileage, handling, originality (discounting BSAs from 40 years ago), louder, and orange. Hers wins the top gear (and every other gear) roll on contest, smoother engine, better gearing, better seat, higher level of fit and finish, too bad it is blue with a silver fade on the tank (bikes should be orange and she won't let me paint it). Savage advantages: cheaper to own, unusual enough to get attention. Her bike's advantages: power, easier on parts, doesn't shake (at all).

Okay, now for the real competition: guess what it is (specifically). I think I threw in enough hint's that someone should nail it pretty easily. No prize, just something else to give the tech junkies fits. :-)
